An international bank is looking to hire within it's Energy & Natural Resources team in London. The role sits within a front-office coverage platform focused on supporting and growing relationships across Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Utilities, Metals & Mining and Commodity Traders.
Combining origination, credit analysis, financial modelling, transaction execution and portfolio management across a broad range of structured and corporate lending products. The successful candidate will work closely with senior coverage bankers, credit teams and product partners to deliver financing solutions for both existing and new-to-bank clients.
This role offers strong exposure to complex structured financing and provides a clear pathway toward broader relationship management responsibility over time.
- Support the origination, structuring and execution of financing transactions across the Energy & Natural Resources sector.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, credit assessment and financial modelling for new and existing clients.
- Prepare credit papers, committee materials, client presentations and transaction documentation.
- Review and analyse structured financing transactions including corporate lending, project finance and other bespoke financing structures.
- Support relationship management activities across a portfolio of ENR clients and assist with identifying cross-sell opportunities across the broader product suite.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Coverage, Credit, Risk, Legal and Product teams to support transaction execution and approvals.
- Monitor portfolio performance, client exposure and ongoing credit quality.
- Conduct industry, market and company research across Oil & Gas, Utilities, Renewables, Metals & Mining and Commodity Trading sectors.
Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of lending products and financing structures including corporate lending, project finance, reserve-based lending, trade finance and structured transactions.
- Experience preparing credit papers, financial analysis and transaction materials for internal approval processes.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Exposure to sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Metals & Mining or Commodity Traders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a client-facing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced transaction environment.
