Job Description

2LOD role that will provide detailed risk assessment reports and credit recommendations. As a Senior Credit Analyst focusing on Financial Institutions (FIs), you'll oversee a broad range of FI clients, ensuring the existing portfolio and new lends are thoroughly evaluated and managed.

Collaboration with the front office will be key to strategising and implementing business plans, while working in line with internal risk parameters and external regulation. 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business proposals from front office bankers in Financial Institutions department, creating in-depth credit reports to guide decision-making.
  • Represent  findings and insights at the Bank's Credit Committee, confidently addressing inquiries and highlighting critical credit considerations.
  • Continuously assess the risk profile of borrowers within an assigned portfolio, keeping a keen eye on both borrower and industry-specific risks.
  • Engage in the regular review of bank Risk Appetite for designated industries and client segments, recommending changes where appropriate.
  • Support ongoing risk management projects under the guidance of the Team Leader.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statistical reports that reflect the Bank's business performance, portfolio health, and sector trends.
  • Adhere to and enforce compliance to internal policy and regulatory guidelines.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing FI credits across EMEA, with a solid understanding of banking regulations.
  • Extensive experience with FI counterparties (corporate, commercial and investment banks).
  • Proficiency in utilising external research tools like eg. Moody’s, Bloomberg.
  • Proven financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
